Geography

It is located 30 km northeast of the city of Berezovsky and 54 km northeast of Yekaterinburg . A highway of regional significance Rezhevskaya tract passes through the village.

History

Elk appeared in the 1930s during the construction of peat mining enterprises. March 27, 1942 Elk received the status of a working village.

In the 1960s, production of peat extraction, production of peat-insulating plates and tailoring of sports shoes were established in the village [9] .

After the collapse of the Soviet Union , the village fell into decay. Elk peat enterprise, a branch of the Sportobuv factory, Izoplit factory and a household were liquidated. Thanks to the enthusiasm of people who did not receive wages, the work of school No. 21 and kindergartens continued. In addition to them, a military unit, a hospital and trade functioned.

In 2004, the workers' settlement Losiny was assigned to the category of rural settlements as a settlement [10] .

Infrastructure

The village has a cultural center, a school, a kindergarten, a local hospital and an ambulance station, a police strong point, a fire department, post offices and Sberbank . In 2004, a new bathhouse was built, and in 2005 a new gas boiler house, a gas pipeline through which natural gas was supplied, was built. Work is underway on the gasification of residential buildings in the private sector. There are also two Internet providers in the village: PJSC Rostelecom (using ADSL technology) and Radiomaster LLC (using FTTx technology)
