Biography

He graduated from the Voronezh Cadet Corps (1883) and the Nikolaev Cavalry School (1885), from where he was released as a cornet in the Life Guards of the Grodno Hussars Regiment .

Ranks: lieutenant (1889), staff captain (1891), captain (1896), colonel (1904), major general (for distinction, 1914).

He was in charge of the regimental training team, for eight years he commanded the squadron of the Grodno regiment. Then he commanded the 13th Dragoon Military Order Regiment (1908-1914).

March 23, 1914 was appointed commander of the 1st Brigade of the 11th Cavalry Division , with which he entered the First World War . Granted by St. George's Arms

In May 1917, he was temporarily commander of the Zaamur cavalry division, on May 22 he was appointed commander of the 8th cavalry division .

After the declaration of Red Terror, he was taken hostage by the Kharkov Cheka . During the abandonment of Kharkov during the offensive, the All-Union Socialist Liberation Union was taken through Sumy to Oryol, where it was hacked down among other Kharkov hostages.
