History
In ancient times, Chungbo was the territory of the former kingdom and the French protectorate of Annam .
Description
The Chungbo region is a central part of Vietnam.
Chungbo includes 18 provinces and 1 city of central subordination , grouped in 3 economic regions :
- Northern Seaside Center (Bắc Trung Bộ Việt Nam) - 6 provinces,
- South Seaside Center (Nam Trung Bộ Việt Nam) - 7 provinces and 1 city of central subordination ,
- Mountain Center (Central Highlands of Teynguen , Tây Nguyên) - 5 provinces.
Area 146 thousand km². The population is 12.5 million people. (1975). Mostly agricultural areas [1] .
The largest cities are Danang , Quinyeon , Nha Trang , Kamran , Fanrang , Phan Thiet .
