Biography
Anatoly Ievsky was born on August 11, 1922 in the village of Nemchinovka (now the Odintsovsky District of the Moscow Region ). He graduated from eight classes of school and school factory apprenticeship , after which he got a job as a mechanic at one of the Moscow factories. In parallel with the work involved in the flying club. In 1941, Ievsky was called up to serve in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . In 1942 he graduated from the Chernigov military aviation school of pilots. From January 1944 - on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War [1] .
By February 1945, Lieutenant Anatoly Ievsky commanded the link of the 989th Assault Aviation Regiment of the 136th Assault Aviation Division of the 10th Assault Air Corps of the 17th Air Army of the 3rd Ukrainian Front . By that time, he had made 171 combat missions to attack the clusters of military equipment and manpower, enemy objects, causing great losses [1] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated June 29, 1945, Lieutenant Anatoly Ievsky was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal [1] .
After the war, Ievsky continued his service in the Soviet Army. In 1951 he graduated from the Higher Officer Flight Tactical Courses. In 1954, with the rank of captain, Ievsky was transferred to the reserve. He returned to his native village, where he worked in the militarized guard. He died on September 20, 1979 [1] .
He was also awarded two Orders of the Red Banner , the Orders of Alexander Nevsky , the Patriotic War of the 1st and 2nd degrees, and a number of medals [1] .
