Biography
Representative of the noble Lithuanian noble family of the Kossakowski coat of arms Slepovron The son of a coughteller of the Infantian Anthony Kossakovsky (1735-1798) and Eleanor Strashkevich.
Born in the family estate of Kossakovsky - Martinishki in Lithuania (now part of Belarus). He was educated at the Jesuit PR school in Vilna .
The struggle for the independence of Poland.
In 1792, Jozef Anthony Kossakovsky, being a corral of the 8th banner of the 1st brigade of the cavalry of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, participated in the Russian-Polish war . Then, with the support of his uncle, Shimon Martin Kossakovsky, he received the rank of major and became commander of the 3rd cavalry brigade of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
