Story
There was a little pony in the zoo, which rolled children and dreamed of participating in a military parade. Once a general came to the zoo and decided to ride a pony. During skating, the general remembered his childhood and introduced himself as a little boy. But the pony realized that his job was to give joy to children and adults, and what he was doing was no less important than participating in parades.

Excerpt from Lev Atamanov’s article “I Love My Tales. True, then I moved away from them, but not because I fell out of love, but just wanted to try something else new: "
Perhaps today I can say that “Shepherdess and chimney sweep”, “Ballerina on a ship”, “Pony runs in a circle” seem to me closest, most accurate from the point of view of animated specifics. Tales in which their fairy-tale convention is played out are poetic, emotional, philosophical. The little pony dreams of becoming a war horse and shining at a military parade, and the old general imagines how he returned to his childhood for a moment, but both of them only dreamed of it, and the pony understood that he should return to the zoo, and the general should realize the sad fact: the past cannot be returned. This is also a little philosophy.
