Diocese of San Vicente ( Latin: Dioecesis Sancti Vincentii ) - Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church with its center in the city of San Vicente , Salvador . The jurisdiction of the diocese of San Vicente extends to the department of Cabanas and most of the department of San Vicente . The Diocese of San Vicente is a member of the Metropolitanate of San Salvador . The cathedral of the diocese of San Vicente is the church of St. Vincent.

Content
History
On December 18, 1943, Pope Pius XII issued the bull Si qua in catholico , which he established the diocese of San Vicente, separating it from the archdiocese of San Salvador .
On May 5, 1987, the diocese of San Vicente transferred part of its territory in favor of the construction of the diocese of Zacatecoluca .
