Biography
Peter Bradshaw studied at a private school in Hertfordshire , after graduation he entered the University of Cambridge . In his free time he participated in the work of the amateur theater club Footlights , and was later elected its president.
After completing his studies, he worked in the daily newspaper “ Evening Standard ”, for which he prepared a series of parody notes from the diary, supposedly written by parliamentarian from the Conservative Party Alan Clark. Publications were the subject of litigation ending in favor of the politician. The reason for their prohibition was the fact that most readers perceived them as absolutely genuine [1] . Since 1998, he has been working permanently in the newspaper The Guardian, where he conducts a section of cinema.
Peter Bradshaw wrote three novels: The Happy Baby Jesus (1999), Doctor Sweet and His Daughter (2003), and Night of Triumph (2013).
He participated in the jury of several film forums, including, for example, in the program “Special Look” of the 2011 Cannes Film Festival [2] .
Since 2002, she has been voting in the selection of Sight & Sound magazine's dozens of the best films of all time. In 2012, his personal list included [3] :
