The effect of age on sexual activity
Young people usually exhibit higher sexual activity. During the period of mature sexuality, the frequency of sexual contacts stabilizes at 2-3 intercourse per week. However, these figures cannot be considered the "norm", since the frequency of sexual intercourse of a particular person will be established in accordance with his sexual constitution [3] .
During puberty , biological factors prevail, in adolescence, the influence of social and personal factors comes to the fore. For mature sexuality, the alignment of the values ββof these factors is characteristic. In the involutional period, some increase in the role of biological factors is again observed, although not as pronounced as during puberty [3] .
Sexual activity in men and women
The peak of sexual activity in men and women does not coincide in age. In men, it accounts for 18-20 years. After this, sexual activity is maintained at a fairly high level until 40β45 years, and then slowly but steadily decreases [3] .
The sexual activity of women, as a rule, awakens later. Women 18-20 years old are late at the platonic stage of development of libido . The peak of sexual activity in women occurs much later than in men - after 30 years, closer to 40 years [3] .
