The village is located between the right bank of the Ioda River and the Rybinsk - Yaroslavl railway , on the small right tributary of Iodine. Here, surrounded by forests, there is a cleared area of agricultural land on which there are three closely located villages: Korovinskoe on the right bank of the stream, Rakhovo and Mikheevo - on the left. Rakhovo stands downstream and north of Mikheevo. In the lower reaches of the stream there is the tract Patunino , whose name indicates the village that was here. The stream flows into Ioda opposite the village of Mokeyevskoye. From the village of Rakhovo in the western direction there is a country road, fording the Ioda river and going out in the village of Besovo to the highway with bus service from Rybinsk through the center of the rural district Mikhailovskoye to Alexandrov Pustyn . Another country road running along the right bank of the stream through Korovinskoe leads southward to the village of Sofronovo (about 3 km), and in the north to the villages of Karpovskoye and Toropovo (about 2.5 km), to the area of the Toropovo railway station. The second northward road deviates to the northwest and goes to the village of Borisovskoye , located on the right bank of Ioda, there is a bridge over Ioda, through which you can get to the left bank to the villages of Brykovo and Gridino [2] .
The village of Rakhova is indicated on the general survey plan of the Rybinsk district of 1792. On the same plane, the creek is called Zderinoshka . At the site of the tract at the mouth of the stream, the village of Patyunina is shown.
