VFTS 682 is a Wolf-Rayet star in the constellation Golden Fish, one of the most massive and most powerful in terms of luminosity of known stars [2] . Located in the Milky Way Galaxy adjacent to the Large Magellanic Cloud. The distance to the solar system is about 164,000 light years .

The mass of VFTS 682 is estimated at about 150 solar masses , the luminosity is 3.2 million luminosities of the Sun [3] . The radius of the star is 22 times the radius of the sun . Surface temperature - 52200 ± 2500 K.
The VFTS 682 star is located 100 light years from the R136 cluster in the Tarantula Nebula (NGC 2070) , from which it may have been ejected as a result of a very powerful gravitational effect.
