Content
Geographical position
The village is located in the steppe area 11 kilometers east of the city of Guy . A stream flows near the village. In the south of the village is an abandoned settlement Sharypka . One and a half kilometers east of Kherson is located Kherson Lake.
History
The settlement was founded by immigrants from Ukraine. In 1928, the Kherson farm became part of the Milk and Milk Farm. In 1939, the population was 103 people. By 1970, the settlement was abandoned. Since 1990, the village began to be populated again. October 29, 1997 the decision of the Legislative Assembly of the Orenburg region officially formalized the formation of the village of Kherson in its former place.

Infrastructure
On January 1, 2003 in Kherson there were 16 houses. The only dirt road leads to the village. Conducted gas and telephone. There are five active water wells and two granaries in the territory.
Economy
On the territory of the village is the agricultural complex "Hope", which has 14 thousand hectares of arable land. The farm contains 730 cattle, 510 pigs, 83 horses, it produces milk, meat, and grain. [2]
Attractions
On the territory of the village there is a temple of the icon of the Mother of God "Tabyn". [3]
