Biography

Born on October 1, 1906 in a peasant family in the village of Monastyrka in the Kamennoy volost of the Chelyabinsk district of the Orenburg province (by the decision of the Kurgan Oblast Executive Committee No. 108 of March 23, 1964, the village of Monastyrka was renamed Klyukvennaya , and since June 28, 1989 it has been a member of the Medvedsky village council of the Shchuchansky district of the Kurgan region ) Russian.

His childhood and youth passed in the village of Gusinka in the same region, he graduated from the 2nd grade of a parish school (1916).

Arrested on February 8, 1930. Sentenced by a triple of PP OGPU in the Urals on March 23, 1930, on charges of anti-Soviet agitation, Art. 58-10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR , to 5 years in prison.

The exiled settler Ivan Vasilyevich Gladyshev worked as a lumberjack, a fisherman in the Khanty-Mansiysk National District .

In May 1942 he was drafted into the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army by the Mikoyanovsky RVK of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District of the Omsk Region .

At the front since January 1943. He participated in the battles for the liberation of Belarus and Poland.

In the summer of 1943, a sapper of a sapper platoon of the 364th Infantry Regiment of the 139th Infantry Division of the 10th Army, Red Army man Gladyshev in a battle near the villages of Kuleshevka and Mamontova discovered a minefield and neutralized 35 minutes under enemy fire, which contributed to the successful offensive of our infantry. For this operation he was awarded the medal “For Courage”.

From June 24 to June 30, 1944, in the battles for Mogilev and when crossing the Resta and Dnieper rivers, sapper Gladyshev marched with advanced units. He crossed the Dnieper, cleared the coastal strip, removing 21 minutes, and ensured a safe landing of the airborne troops. Here he explored places to establish on the captured bridgehead of our artillery.

By order of the 139th Infantry Division (No. 027 / n) dated August 2, 1944, Red Army soldier Gladyshev was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.

During the offensive on the territory of Poland from August 20 to 24, 1944, Gladyshev took off more than 100 minutes, participated in the construction of bridges, in crossing the observation post of the regiment 50 km west of the city of Bialystok (Poland).

By order of the 49th Army (No. 0133 / n) dated October 17, 1944, Red Army soldier Gladyshev was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.

On January 18, 1945, during the breakthrough of the enemy’s defense on the Narew River near the city of Shelkow (Poland), the commander of the sapper platoon detachment, Junior Sergeant Gladyshev, provided artillery passage through minefields. During the fighting, the regiment removed more than 1 thousand mines and 200 landmines, which contributed to the successful completion of combat missions.

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 10, 1945, Junior Sergeant Gladyshev Ivan Vasilievich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree for exemplary execution of command assignments in battles against Nazi invaders. He became the full holder of the Order of Glory. At the time of presentation for the award - non-partisan.

Victory Day met in East Prussia. In total, during World War II, Junior Sergeant Gladyshev removed more than 9 thousand mines and neutralized two thousand enemy shells and land mines.

In 1946 he was demobilized.

He returned to the village of Sherkaly of the Khanty-Mansiysk National District, worked as a forester in the Mikoyan forestry of the Khanty-Mansi forestry, then as a forester in the Cherkalsky forestry of the Mikoyanovsky forestry.

In 1956, having received permission to leave the Sherkal exile, he moved to the village of Kichigino, Uvelsky district, Chelyabinsk region. He worked as a watchman at a repair plant in the village of Uvelsky .

He died on August 29, 1975 . He was buried under gun salute in the rural cemetery of the village of Kichigino.

    • On June 22, 2013, a memorial plaque with the inscription was installed on the house where he lived: “The street is named after a participant in the Great Patriotic War, full holder of the Order of Glory, forestry officer Gladyshev Ivan Vasilievich (10/14/1906 - 08/29/1975).
