Biography

She studied singing at the Sofia Academy of Music (teacher - Mara Marinova-Tsibulka), then improved with Asen Dimitrov and Katya Spiridonova.

She made her debut on the stage of the Sofia Opera in 1947 as Esmeralda in the opera “ Sold Bride ” by B. Smetana .

In 1955-1956 Internship at the Moscow Bolshoi Theater .

Successfully performed on the stages of the Bolshoi Theater ( Moscow ), the Grand Opera and Opera Comic ( Paris ), performed in Vienna , Athens , Prague , Belgrade , Kiev , Leningrad , Kharkov , Sverdlovsk , Skopje , etc.

The performer of the main roles in operas by Tchaikovsky , S. Gounod , D. Puccini , J. Massenet and others.

She died as a result of a plane crash of the Il-18 aircraft of Balkan Airlines near Bratislava .
