Dyema ( French: Diéma ) is a city and rural commune in the west of the Republic of Mali . Administratively, it refers to the county of Diem, which is part of the Kayes region .

In addition to the city of Dieu itself, the community of Diema includes the following villages: Tincare, Cana, Gyemu, Fangun Bambara, Fangun Kagoro, Fangun Massassi, Dampa, Laclal, Garambugu, Bugudere Niande, Bugudere Mahomet, Bilibani, Mamburke, Madinaj Maur and . The area of the commune is 1183 km² [1] . According to 2009 data, the population of the commune is 30,592 people [2] .
