Geographical position
The city is located in the western part of the governorate, on the left bank of the Oront River , at an altitude of 287 meters above sea level [1] .
Muhrad is located approximately 17 kilometers northwest of Hama , the provincial capital, and 188 kilometers north-north-east (NNE) of Damascus , the country's capital. The nearest civilian airport is in Latakia [1] .
