It is located on the eastern bank of the Irtysh River , 90 km from the center of the district , 315 km from the mouth of the Irtysh River, 3 km from the federal highway, 436 km from the regional center . The population of 2057 people (2012).
Oil pumping station LPDS "Demyanskoe". There is a school, a club, a kindergarten, 3 gyms, 2 sports grounds, 1 sports core, a local hospital with an emergency room.
History
Demyanskoe has been known for over 370 years. In the late 1620s - early 1630s. on the banks of the Irtysh Demyansk pit was founded. Since 1780, Demyanskoye is considered the center of the volost . The first church was built in the village in 1831. Under the tsar, the village was one of the centers of political exile. In 1923, the village of Demyanskoe became the center of the Demyansk region, it consisted of 15 village councils. In 1925, the functions and name of the district passed to the village of Uvat.
