In the same year, the second championship was held in St. Petersburg. Since 1996, the regularity of the event has been changed, the tournament began to be held once every two years.

Tournament System

In different years the tournament was held in different ways. So, in 1994 and 1995, the Swiss system was used, in 1996 there were two group stages, after which the winners were determined by semifinal and final matches. A similar scheme, with only one group stage, was applied until 2002, starting with which the Swiss system was installed. In 2016, a round robin system with final matches was applied.
