Career

He started his football career at Ashanti Gold, after one year in which he moved to Sfaxen . After spending there the season 2007/2008 and making an impression with his game for the youth team of Ghana, Opar was acquired by Real Madrid Castilla . In the summer of 2010, Daniel joined the “ Standard ”, which included in the same season, won the Belgian Cup .

On May 20, 2014, it was announced that Opare had signed a contract with Porto .

On January 20, 2015, the defender was loaned to the Turkish club Besiktas until the end of the season.

August 14, 2015 Opar moved to the German " Augsburg ", with whom he signed a three-year contract [3] . For a long time in the new club, he could not gain a foothold in the line-up and violated discipline. In March 2016, after being late for training, Daniel was suspended for several weeks from games and training sessions with the main team [4] . In 2017, he leased at the French Lance . International Career

Opar was called up to the youth team of Ghana (up to 17 years old), which took 3rd place in the youth championship of 2007 in Togo in Africa. Opar also took part in the World Youth Championship 2007 in South Korea, having spent all 7 matches of his team in the tournament. Opar was recognized as the best defender of the championship.

As part of the Ghanaian youth team (under 20), Opar won the World Cup among the youth teams in 2009 in Egypt.

On November 13, 2007, three weeks after his seventeenth birthday, Daniel received a call to the national team of Ghana for a friendly match against the national team of Togo.

Opar was on the expanded list of the Ghana national team in preparation for the 2008 African Cup of Nations , but was not included in the application due to a sprain.

In January 2012, Daniel was included in the Ghana national team's bid for the 2012 African Cup of Nations , but did not play a single match at the tournament for the national team.
