Oleg Akimovich Chuprov (present name - Albert Akimovich Chuprov [1] [2] ; born , ) - Soviet and Russian poet , member of the Union of Writers of Russia , member of the Board of St. St. Petersburg Writing Organization, Professor at the International Slavic Academy, Academician of the Petrovsky Academy of Sciences and Arts, Honored Worker of the Komi Republic, Laureate of the All-Russian Song Contest ( 1972 ), International Children's Song Contest ( 1987 ) [3] , author of the words of the official Anthem of St. Petersburg [4] [5] .

Biography

Oleg Chuprov’s childhood and youth passed in Ust-Tsilma , where he graduated from high school and worked for two years on the construction of a new school. In 1959 he entered the University of Leningrad , where he studied for three years, after which, due to material circumstances, he went to work on the radio as a journalist. Subsequently, he collaborated in Leningrad newspapers. In 1965 he entered the Literary Institute named after A.M. Gorky , graduated in 1974 . He began to write professionally in the 1960s, the first published poems were published in the compilation “Roll Call” in 1966 . Published in collective collections “Day of Poetry” and others. In 1989, the first book “Date with the Father” was published - about the North, about life, about love. As a songwriter, he collaborated with Anatoly Kalvarsky , Yakov Dubravin , Dmitry Khil , Alexander Morozov , Stanislav Gorkovenko and many other composers. Songs to the words of Oleg Chuprov are included in the repertoire of Joseph Kobzon , Eduard Khil , Edita Piekha , Muslim Magomayev , Andrei Mironov , Mikhail Boyarsky , Sergey Zakharov and others [3] [6] .
