Duano ( Duano ', Desin Dolak, Desin Duano, Duano', Orang Kuala, Orang Laut ) is an Austronesian Malay language spoken on the east coast of the Riau Daratan archipelagos and west of the Riau province of Riau on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia and in the villages of Kuala Benut, Leng, Meniak-Beku, Pontian-Besar, Rengit, Semerah, Senggarang, Sungai-Laiau districts of Batu Pahat, Muar, Pontian on the territory of the town of Pontian-Kecil of the western coast of Johor in Malaysia. Only the older generation speaks duano, while the younger one has switched to Malay .
