Biography
Abdusalom Dehoti was born on March 14, 1911 in the family of an artisan near Samarkand . He died on January 30, 1962 in Dushanbe.
Creativity
The first works of Dekhoti were published in 1929. In 1932-1934 his poetry collections “Songs of Labor” ( Taronai mehnat ), “Fruits of the October Revolution” ( Mevai October ), and also the poem “Three Views ” ( Manzaragoy segon ) were published . In the second half of the 1930s, in collaboration with Mirzo Tursunzade, he wrote dramas in the verses “Khosrov and Shirin” and “Uprising of Vose” ( Shurishi Vosa ). In 1940, Dekhoti's next collection, Poems and Stories, was published ( Scher vaikoyango ). His new collection, "Selected Poems" ( Shergoy Muntahab ), combining military-themed works, was published in 1945. After the war, Dekhoti continued to actively write poems of various subjects, including for children. A number of his poems were put to music. For the theaters of the Tajik SSR he wrote a number of dramatic works: "The Tale of Tarifkhodzhaev" ( Kissai Tarifkhaev , co-authored), "Light in the Mountains" ( Nur Dar Kuhiston ), "Komde and Modan." Dekhoti is also known for publishing Tajik folklore.
