Biography
Representative of the gentry coat of arms of Hrabe . The son of Stanislav Pike and Sophia Shpilevskaya from Neranovichi. Studied in Vilna and Krakow at the Jagiellonian Academy .
Thanks to his abilities and patronage of Casimir Shchuki, he held high positions.
Since 1675 - Secretary of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth Jan III Sobieski (1674-1666). In 1682 he became a cupcaster of Vizensky .
In 1683, in the rank of hussar captain participated in the Battle of Vienna .
Since 1684 - Regent of the Grand Crown Chancellery.
Stanislav Anthony Schuka was repeatedly elected ambassador to the Sejm. In 1688 - 1689 and 1699 he became Marshal of the Sejm.
In 1688, Stanislav Schuka was appointed the great crown referendum. In 1699 he received the post of sub-chancellor of the great Lithuanian, which he held until his death.
In 1690, Stanislav Anthony Schuka was the ambassador of the Commonwealth in East Prussia. In 1696, he was a supporter of the election of the eldest son of Jan III Sobieski - Prince Jakub to the Polish royal throne, but then he supported the candidacy of the Saxon Elector Augustus II the Strong .
In 1697 he was a voter of Augustus II the Strong from the land of Viska, colonel of the land of Viska and ambassador to the electoral diet.
Since 1701, he led the duty collection in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania .
In 1706 - 1709 he supported the new Polish king Stanislav Leshchinsky, a protege of Sweden, in his confrontation with Augustus II the Strong . Due to great public merits, he was popular among the gentry. The Czartoryski Museum holds a rare royal seal with an attached gilded silver plate with the inscription: "Lithuanian seal for King Stanislav Leshchinsky Sub-Chancery of Stanislav Anthony Schuka."
He criticized the participation of the Commonwealth in the Northern War (1700-1721) . The Commonwealth saw the strengthening of the Commonwealth in alliance with Russia and the struggle against the Ottoman Empire.
He advocated the improvement of education, the introduction of history and geography into the school curriculum, the organization of a permanent postal service, and the reduction of the time of lawsuits. He was a philanthropist, collected a large library, historical materials.
At the same time, he was a fanatical Catholic who sued the Calvinists and closed their fees (temples) in his possessions.
He died on May 19, 1710 in Warsaw , was buried in Schuchin.
Holdings
He owned estates in the Upitsky and Grodno counties of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, as well as in Ukraine and Poland. He belonged to the Wilkie (since 1686 ), Platel (from 1702 ) and Vekshnians (since 1703 ) elders in Jemaitia, in Poland the Lublin elders ( 1687 - 1710 ), and villages in the Grodno and Brest economies. In 1707 - 1708 he received possession from the Polish king Stanislav Leshchinsky Palanga , Zhizhmory , Ushpol, Prany , etc.
Famous royal architect Augustine Vincent Lazzi built a courtyard in Vinyar for Stanislav Anthony Schuky.
He founded the city of Schuchin in the Podlaskie Voivodeship.
Creativity
Used the pseudonyms Candidus Veronensis, Szczerota Prawdzicki.
Under the pseudonym Candidus Veranenzis published in Latin the book “Eclipse of Poland, shown to the whole world” (“Ecclipsis Poloniae orbi publico demonstrata”, Warsaw , 1709 ), where he outlined a program of financial and military reforms: increasing the army, levying military gentry and clergy, creating public commissions, etc.
Perhaps the authorship of Schucke belongs to the pamphlet The Conversation of the Everyman with the Judge ( Rozmowa ziemianina z sąsiadem ), published in 1733.

On February 6, 1695, he married Constance Maria Anna Potocka, daughter of the elder of Yanuvsky Bohuslav Potocki and Elena Theofila Mentsinskaya .
