Biography
Born in the suburbs of Paris - the town of Boulogne-Billancourt . The Maran family was distinguished by its creative vein, father - a French artist , mother - a famous German model. But, creative people are characterized by inconstancy, and the marriage broke up when Isabelle was 4 years old.
Isabelle's career began at age 15. This was facilitated by mother Isabelle. She did what is now called hand made.
In 1985, Isabelle entered the Berkot Design School in Paris, where she was not particularly successful and claimed to fly. However, she was able to finish it with success. After leaving school (1988), there was an unsuccessful collaboration with Michael Klein.
Exactly the next season, Isabelle launches her first collection of accessories, and after that, a brand called Twen. Under this brand, Marant produced perfumes, summer and demi-season clothing . After several awards, the Twen brand was renamed Isabel Marant, which it is to this day.
Since 1995, Isabel Marant collections have been continuously participating in Paris Fashion Week every year. This is one of the longest running brands after calvin klein. It was through her zeal that Isabelle gained her name.
In 1999, Isabelle opened her first store in Paris, which is located at 16, rue de Charonne. Now Isabel Marant offices are located on all continents (except Antarctica naturally), in 95 countries of the world. The first store representing Isabel Marant in Russia was opened in St. Petersburg in 2012. Now [ when? ] is the only Isabel Marant representative office in Russia.
In 2011, Isabelle was the first to launch high-heeled sneakers. Their popularity has become comparable to the popularity of the legendary UGG. This has given the brand worldwide fame. In Europe, a pre-order for these shoes was painted at a factory in Portugal for 7 months in advance. In 2013, this trend continued, and now the turn for pre-order is 9 months.
