Tu-134A (serial number - 08068, serial - 23-09) was released by the KHAPP factory on May 17, 1974 and entered the German Interflug ( GDR ), where it received the registration number DM-SCT, in 1981 - DDR-SCT. From 1990 to 1991 he wore a registration number D-AOBH. Later he entered the Soviet Aeroflot and was sent to the Syktyvkar squadron of the Komi UGA, received the registration number of the USSR-65617. After the collapse of the country with registration number RA-65617, it passed to the newly formed KomiAvia , which on December 15, 1992 leased it to the Nigerian Harka Air Services (Harka Air) . At the time of the crash, the airliner had 24,844 flight hours and 15,740 landings [1] .

Holocaust

The plane flew from Kaduna to Lagos , piloted by its Russian crew, led by commander V.V. Lerner, and the flight attendants were Nigerians . At the Lagos airport to them. Murtala Mohammed Tu-134 was downpouring with a strong side wind and low cloud cover, the runway was flooded with water.
