Shark Parina [1] , or Malliskwama [2] ( lat. Mollisquama parini ) - a species of sharks from the Dalatian family, the only one of the genus Malliskwa [2] ( Mollisquama ). These little-studied sharks are known for only one individual, found in the southeastern Pacific Ocean . The holotype is an adult female 40 cm long, caught on October 15, 1979 on the Nazca submarine ridge off the northern coast of Chile , 21 ° 32 'S. w. and 81 ° 38 'z. d., at a depth of 330 m by the scientific-fishing vessel "Ichthyander" [3] .

The name of the genus comes from the words lat. mollis - “soft” and lat. squama - "scales" [4] . There is insufficient data to evaluate the conservation status of the species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature [5] .
