Zulfugar Suleymanov ( azerb. Zülfüqar Süleymanov ; born 1982) - Azerbaijani weightlifter , silver medalist of the 2009 European Championship .

Suleymanov participated in the 2007 World Cup , where he took 19th place. At the 2008 European Championship, Suleimanov takes 4th place. In 2009, he became vice-champion of Europe. In the same year, Suleymanov took 6th place at the World Championships . At the 2010 European Championship, Suleymanov took third place. However, a prohibited drug was discovered in his blood, and Zulfugar Suleymanov was disqualified for 3 years [1] . In 2013, Suleymanov again participates in the European Championship and again takes 3rd place. The first place also goes to the representative of Azerbaijan, Valentin Hristov . However, this time, according to the results of a doping test, dehydromethyltestesterone was found in his blood, for which Suleymanov was disqualified for life [2] .
