Story
The miller’s youngest son inherited from his father only a cat. The tricky cat put on his boots and boots confidently headed to the royal castle, where with the help of gifts he aroused interest in his master, whom he called the Marquis of Karabas. But unlike the original, at the end of the film, the princess did not fall in love with the self-proclaimed marquise, rightly noting that he had a bad education.

Svyatoslav Chekin did a lot of jazz and improvisational music, worked in films as a composer. Communicated and made friends with jazz musicians, filmed jazz. To work on his only feature film - a fairy tale musical, shot in Estonia based on the tale of Charles Perrault to verses by David Samoilov, he invited pianist Igor Bril and guitarist Vitaliy Rosenberg as composers. With this, Svyatoslav Chekin paid tribute to the jazz he loved so much.
