Metro Kobe ( 神 戸 市 営 地下 鉄 Ko: be-si shiei tikatetsu ) is a metro system in the Japanese city of Kobe . Tactile coating is installed at all stations.

History

Opened March 13, 1977. Consists of two lines. The total length of 30.6 km.

  • The green line opened on March 13, 1977. The length is 22.7 km. Consists of 17 station. The last station opened on March 20, 1993.
  • The blue line opened on July 7, 2001. Consists of 10 stations. The length of 7.9 km. Consists of 10 stations. At on March 3, 2018, automatic platform gates were installed. According to the plan, automatic platform gates will be installed at all stations of the Seishin-Yamate line by 2020, and a new 6000 series train will be launched along the line. At the remaining 12 Kobe metro stations, automatic platform gates are expected to be installed by 2023.

In February 2006, the subway was de-energized, 15 thousand people in cars got stuck for an hour [1]

There are two separate lines that are not organizationally included in the structure of the metro. At all stations of the lines installed platform sliding doors

  • Port Liner the airport opened on October 5, 1981; 6.4 km, 9 stations. The extension south to the new Kobe Airport opened February 2, 2006; 4.3 km, 3 stations.
  • Rokko-liner to the marine park opened on February 21, 1990; 4.5 km, 6 stations.
