Irma Viktorovna Kudrova (born October 25, 1929 ) is a Russian philologist, researcher of the life and work of Marina Tsvetaeva .
She graduated from the philological faculty of Leningrad University. In 1952 she entered the graduate school of the Pushkin House (IRLI RAS), worked as a tour guide at the Literary Museum. In 1956, she participated in the writing together with Victor Scheinis of the text “The whole truth about Hungary,” for which she repeatedly volunteered for interrogations at the Leningrad KGB Directorate.
From 1964 to 1977 she was an editor in the magazine Star.
In the same years, a “meeting” with Marina Tsvetaeva took place and serious work began on restoring the poet’s biography. The first book, Versts, Dal ..., was published in 1991 on the eve of the international conference dedicated to the poet’s 100th birthday.
The author of numerous scientific articles and speeches at Russian, European and American universities.
Kudrova's books are translated into English, German, Czech.
