Biography
In 1968 he graduated from Kazan University. In 1971–1981, he worked at the Kazan Institute of Culture at the Department of Marxism-Leninism , in 1981–1984 - Vice-Rector, in 1984–1988 - Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy and Scientific Communism. Candidate of Historical Sciences (1984), dissertation topic “The“ Russian Historical School ”of universal historians and its role in the ideological and political struggle in Russia in the late XIX - early XX centuries”. From 1988 - at the Kazan University at the Department of the History of the Ancient World and the Middle Ages, in 1995-1998 - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of History. Member of the Russian Society for Intellectual History, Head. Kazan its branches. Doctor of Historical Sciences (2000), thesis: "" Russian Historical School ": the theory and history of the development of the school as a scientific community." Since 2001 - Professor of the Department of the History of the Ancient World and Middle Ages, Faculty of History, Kazan University (now the Department of General History of the Institute of International Relations).
