The administrative center of the Guazden rural settlement .

History

In 1779, Gvazda was transformed into a city and became the center of the Guazdyn district of Tambov governorate . In 1782, the county was transferred to Voronezh governorship , and in 1796 it was abolished, after which Gvazda again became a village.
