Biography
Varvara Nikolaevna Tsekhovskaya at the birth of Menshikov was born in 1872 in the city of Bobrov, Voronezh province, into a poor landowner family. Soon she and her family moved to Ukraine , where her further life continued.
Studied at the Kremenchug women's gymnasium; early began to publish in Kiev newspapers, became a professional journalist. She chose a pseudonym - O. Olnem, under which fiction works of the writer are published in leading journals of the first decade of the 20th century .
Contemporaries correlated the pen of V. N. Tsekhovskaya with the work of writers of the Chekhov trend . However, she herself considered herself a student and literary goddaughter of V. G. Korolenko . [one]
The last collection of the writer was published by Zadruga Publishing House in 1919 . Further, her trace is lost. The death year was presumably established [2] .
