Biography

Victor Quintana was born in the southern department of Misiones and began his career as a football player at the San Miguel Club. In 1998, he first got to Asuncion 's Olympia, but he managed to fully prove himself in the team in 2000, having played 28 matches and scoring 1 goal in the championship of Paraguay, which his club won. The following year, Quintana did not play for Olympia for a full season, after which he moved to Porto, but in Europe he played only one match (70 minutes in the second qualifying round of the Champions League against Barry Town club [2] ), in the future played only for the second club team. Quintana ended the season at Olimpia - and this coincided with the club’s third victory in the Libertadores Cup. After this triumph, Victor, who managed to get the nickname “The Beast” for his dedicated game, moved to the Brazilian “Cruzeiro”.

In the following years, Quintana returned three times to Olimpia, after moving to the Portuguese Moreirense, as well as the Asuncion Nacional. Quintana was one of the leaders of Olimpia in 2006, but did not win more trophies with this team. He completed his football career at Sportivo Luqueno in 2008.

Victor Quintana played for the national team of Paraguay in 1999-2003. In its composition, he participated in 12 qualifying matches for the 2002 World Cup , but did not go to the tournament in Japan and Korea .
