It is part of the Vostrovsky rural settlement [1] , in terms of administrative-territorial division - in the Vostrovsky village council.
The distance by road to the district center of Nyuksenitsy is 87 km, to the center of the municipality of Vostroi - 18 km. The nearest settlements - Borshchovik , Strelka , Deserts .
According to the 2002 census, the population is 277 people (140 men, 137 women). The predominant nationality is Russian (98%) [2] .
