Westside Xtreme Wrestling or “WXW” is a professional wrestling federation that trains and promotes new wrestlers. The Federation is based in Oberhausen , in Germany. WXW is the leading pro-wrestling federation in Germany. All federation events (Pay-Per-View shows) took place mainly in the Ruhr region, in Oberhausen.

Content
History
The Westside Xtreme Wrestling Federation was founded on December 24, 2000 by Peter Wichers, a wrestler who had previously performed in various pro-wrestling federations under the name Hate. WXW subsequently became one of the leading pro-wrestling federations in Germany, along with the Hanoverian European Wrestling Promotion and the Sauerlandian German Stampede Wrestling .

Since its inception, WXW has developed close contacts with many American wrestling federations ( Chikara , Pro Wrestling Guerrilla , Combat Zone Wrestling and Evolve ); several Japanese federations ( Dragon Gate and Pro Wrestling Noah ); several English federations ( IPW: UK and All Star Wrestling ) and with some European federations [4] . WXW hosted several international Pay-Per-View shows - “Gorefest - European King of the Death Matches 2006” in the United Kingdom and “Hardcore Wrestling” (show based on the English X-Sports: Wrestling) [5] . The second “Goferest”, held in 2009, included fights between Drake Junger and Devon Muir for the CZW World Heavyweight Championship (Combat Zone Wrestling's Heavyweight Championship) [6] . At the event "Dead End VIII" (based on the Japanese Pro Wrestling Noah ) in 2008; it even involved wrestlers from the roster of the aforementioned Pro Wrestling Noah: Kent, Guo Shiozaki, Takashi Sugiura and Kent Kobashi [7] . Also in 2009, the event "Open the Spanish Gate" (based on the Japanese Dragon Gate ) was held in Barcelona , Spain [8] . March 13, 2010 in the United States hosted the first event "WXW" in this country - "The Vision" at Asylum Arena , in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania [9] . The event hosted matches for the CZW Ultraviolent Underground Championship between two rival wrestlers Thumbtack Jack and Jake Junger [10] .
