Marina Fiordaliso ( Italian: Marina Fiordaliso ; born February 19, 1956 , Piacenza , Italy ) is an Italian singer, a multiple participant in the San Remo Festival , winner of the Castrocaro music competition [1] [2] . During her career, she has released over 20 albums and several dozens of singles. Many discs have a golden status , their total sales exceed 6 million copies. Fiordalizo is one of the most famous pop rock performers in Italy .

Biography

Marina Fiordalizo was born on February 19, 1956 in the Italian city of Piacenza . It is accounted for by the niece of the famous Italian singer Marisa Fjordalizo , popular in the 1940s and 1950s [3] . Her father was a musician, so from an early age, Marina studied vocals and piano. In the city of Piacenza, she graduated from the conservatory in this class [4] .

Marina began her musical career in 1980 . Then she recorded several songs with the Bagutti Orchestra. Producer Salvatore De Pasquale (pseudonym Depsa) offered the singer a solo career. In 1981, Marina won the competition for young performers in Castrocaro . Thanks to this victory in 1982, the singer was invited to the famous San Remo Festival , where she performed the song “Una Sporca Poesia” [5] . The singer did not make it to the finals, but already in 1983 the song “Oramai” took 6th place [6] . In the autumn of the same year, the singer's debut album, entitled "Fiordaliso" [1] , was released.

Marina became famous in 1984 when her world-famous song “Non Voglio Mica La Luna” was released, taking 5th place at the next festival in San Remo [4] [5] . In total, Marina participated in it 9 times. In 1985, Marina Fjordalizo released the second album “A Ciascuno La Sua Donna” and began the first tour in Italy and other countries of the world. In October 1985 [7] , in the wake of popularity in the USSR , together with singer Pupo , for the first time arriving with concerts in Moscow and Leningrad , both the Central Television of the USSR and Leningrad TV released films that were aired on television. According to some reports, the concerts were sold out [8] .

From 1990 to 1992, Fjordalizo released three more albums, La Vita Si Balla, Il Portico Di Dio, and Io Ci Saro. After a short break in her career, in 1996 Fiordalizo returned to the Italian stage with the album “E adesso voglio la luna - I grandi successi”, and in 2001 released an album consisting of the singer’s golden hits. In 2009, Marina took part in the international music festival "Disco 80" [1] [9] [10] . The release of Fiordalizo’s latest album, “Sponsorizzata” 2011, was dedicated to celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of his singing career [2] [11] .

Marina Fjordalizo has also released several albums for Spain , the USA , Mexico and Latin America , where she performs her songs in Spanish .
For several seasons she performed on the stage, playing roles in musicals [12] [13] .

He teaches vocals and stage movement at the National Academy of Arts (Accademia Nazionale dei Mestieri dello Spettacolo) [14] .

Fiordalizo is currently one of the most famous pop rock performers in Italy. Over the course of her career, she has sold over 6 million records. [15]
