Geographic data
Located on the right bank of the Volkhov River in the southern part of the district, it borders on the Kirishi district .
The distance from the administrative center of the settlement to the district center is 30 km [4] .
The settlement area is 405.45 km².
History
After World War II, the center of the Prusinogorsk Village Council was moved to the village of Berezhki . On June 16, 1954, the Bratovishchensky village council was attached to the Prusynogorsk village council , and the Zarechsky village council on September 16, 1960 [5] .
January 18, 1994, the decree of the head of the administration of the Leningrad region No. 10 "On changes in the administrative-territorial structure of the districts of the Leningrad region" Prusinogorsk village council was transformed into Berezhkovsky volost [6] .
On January 1, 2006, in accordance with the regional law No. 56-oz dated September 6, 2004 “On Establishing Borders and Giving the Municipal Formation of the Volkhov Municipal District and Municipal Formations in Its Composition” the Berezhkovsky Rural Settlement was formed , which included the territory of the former Berezhkovsky Volost [7] .
