General Information

The first seeding number in the single player tournament was Stanislas Wavrinka (No. 17 in the world at that time). The Swiss, in the end, reached the semifinals in the competition, where he lost to the future champion - Spaniard Tommy Robredo , who was recovering his rating position at that moment after a long pass of the protest competition due to injury. In the final, Tommy then defeated a second sowing racket: South African Kevin Anderson .

The doubles tournament did not gather status teams, and among those who arrived stronger than the others was the Julian Knowle / Filip Polashek alliance, who won three decisive tie-breaks out of four matches in this prize. In the decisive match, the Austrian and Slovak outplayed one of the 2012 tournament champions - German Dustin Brown . Two other reigning champions lost already at the start of this year's competition: the second champion of the 2012 doubles tournament Paul Henley (paired with Lukas Dlougie ) lost just to Brown and another German Christopher Casu , and Pablo Andujar lost to compatriot Pablo Carreno Buste .
