Emperor Kogon ( 光 厳 天皇 Kogon-tenno: August 1, 1313 - August 5, 1364 ) - Emperor of Japan , 1 of 6 northern claimants , Shinto deity . Rules from October 22, 1331 to July 7, 1333 [1] .

The real name is Kazuhito-shino (量 仁 親王). The third son of Emperor Go-Fushimi . He was adopted by his uncle, Emperor Hanazono .

Kazuhito was declared Crown Prince and successor to Emperor Go-Daigo in 1326 . In 1331 he was crowned emperor of Japan . In 1333 he was expelled from the throne, leaving the country at interregnum for 3 years.
