Geography

Located 2 km south-west of Zheleznogorsk . Height above sea level - 170 m [2] . Past the southern outskirts of the village passes the highway A142 " Trosna - Kalinovka ".

Etymology

Received names from the tract Cheek, which adjoins the village from the north and east.

History

In 1926 there were 15 courtyards in the village, 84 people lived (44 males and 40 females). At that time, the Long Cheek was part of the Razvetievskiy Village Council of the Dolbenkino Volost, Dmitrovsky District . Since 1928 as part of the Mikhailovsky (now Zheleznogorsky) district. In 1937 there were 16 courtyards in the village [3] . During the Great Patriotic War, from October 1941 to February 1943, the Long Cheek was in the zone of German occupation. In 1985, the village was transferred from the village council Razvetevskiy Vereteninsky village council [4] .
