History
Warm and friendly relations developed between France and Gabon. The presidents of France visited Gabon several times, making high-level official visits.
Gabon is one of the main political partners of France in Africa , both countries signed new partnership agreements in February 2010. This African country is also an important economic partner for France; about 120 French companies are represented in Gabon through their branches and representative offices.
