Bridgehead is a coffeehouse chain popular in Ottawa (Canada), one of the informal “business cards” of the city. Founded in 1981 in Toronto by two preachers of the United Church ( [2] ) and two laity. In addition to high-quality coffee and tea, self-made snacks, soups and salads are sold in coffee houses. [one]

It is interesting to note that the collapse of a coffee house, originally founded in Toronto, was the impetus for the phenomenal expansion of the Bridgehead network in Ottawa. The original owner of this coffee shop, Oxfam Canada, was forced in 2000 to sell the trademark of the company Tracey Clark for 30 thousand dollars. Initially co-owners were family and friends, but by 2002 co-owners were about 30 investors. [2] [3] From one coffee house in 2000 [4], the network has expanded to 9 in 2008 [5] , and by this time, 15 establishments with this brand have been opened in Ottawa.
In November 2006, according to a reader survey en: Ottawa XPress , Bridgehead was described as “the best coffee and tea house in Ottawa”. [6] Also, Bridgehead sells coffee through its website, sending it to customers by mail.
