The son of the landowner of Yuryevsky district Avdey Kirillovich Obukhov (Brazhnik).
Novik in Yuriev-Polsky and landowner of Vladimir Uyezd (1647–1649); granted to Moscow nobles (1660); governor in Ilimsk (Ilimsk prison) (1662).
In the post of governor, he became famous for his oppression and lawlessness. In 1665, she was killed on the road from the Kiren Fair by rebel Cossacks led by Nikifor of Chernigov . The rebels (84 people) fled to Amur, where they restored the deserted city of Albazino .
