Biography

Georges Decriere was born on April 15, 1930 in the city of Bordeaux . Over time, he took the name of his mother. As a teenager, Georges was bombed during the war and received 11 injuries, which left him scarred on his right knee eight years later during an operation.

When he entered the Conservatory, he studied the skills of the actor, and thanks to this he received two awards (the first - for the role in the final performance; the second - for the role in the comedy). On the advice of his teacher, Georges moved to Paris in the late 1940s, and before entering the Paris Conservatory , he studied at the courses of Pierre Renoir .

When he graduated from this conservatory, in 1954 he began acting in films, and the first film where he first played his role was the film " Red and Black " (directed by K. Otan-Lara ). The next two films with his participation were " The Son of Carolina Sheri " and "Hello, Doctor." In 1959, he played the role of Count Almaviva in the film “The Marriage of Figaro”. Around the same time, he participated in the productions of plays by Pierre Cornell , Alexandre Dumas , Denis Didro , Moliere , Beaumarchais and others. Since 1955, he played in the Paris Theater " Comedy Francaise ".

When the black and white television movie Three Musketeers, based on the novel by Alexander Dumas father, was shot in France in 1959, as Lord Winter, he experimented with the classics along with the young 26-year-old Jean-Paul Belmondo in the role of d'Artagnan . In 1961 , when again in France (this time together with Italy ), the director Bernard Borderi made another film about three musketeers , Georges Decriere this time played Athos along with Gerard Barré in the role of d'Artagnan. The choice of actor for the role of Athos was very successful. The Count de La Fer - Athos performed by Georges Dekrier for numerous fans of this film in the USSR became a model of courage, devotion in friendship, worldly wisdom and some special charm of the "noble manners" of the nobility of France from the time of Louis XIII .

But, nevertheless, he continued to be a man of the theater, playing mainly roles from the classical repertoire. In 1979 - 1985 he taught at the theater studio. In 1971, Georges played the role of Arsene Lupine (the hero of the novel by Maurice Leblanc ), and thanks to this, his actions were monitored by the whole of France , which is why he subsequently received such epithets as “brilliant, ingenious”. In various television films and series, Georges also appeared in the images of such historical figures as Richelieu , Louis Bonaparte , Duke de Beaufort and others. The film, where he played his last role, was the film "Comedians" ( 1996 ).

Georges Decriere until the end of his life remained one of the prominent and significant actors of French cinema. Actress Lyudmila Mikael warmly talked about him as an actor who helped partners. In recent years, Dekriere has lived in the picturesque town of Maganios (near Grasse ). He died on October 19, 2013 in Cannes .
