Biography

Fedor Semenovich Danilovsky was born on November 20, 1902 in the village of Danilov Pochinok (now Totemsky District , Vologda Region ).

Pre-war time

In September 1924, he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army and served as a Red Army soldier in the guard company of the Leningrad School of Communications , and then in the 35th rifle regiment of the Leningrad Military District .

From September 1926, he was a cadet at the E. M. Sklyansky Leningrad Infantry School , after graduating from which in September 1929 he was appointed commander of a platoon of the 18th separate machine-gun battalion, and in December 1931 as assistant commander and commander of an armor platform of a regiment armored trains in Bryansk .

From May 1935, Danilovsky was trained at the MV Frunze Military Academy , after which in September 1938 he was appointed to the post of chief of the 1st unit of the headquarters of the 83rd mountain rifle division , in November 1939 - to the post of chief of 1- first division of the Central Asian Military District headquarters, in December 1940 - to the post of chief of the 1st branch of the combat training department of this district headquarters, and in April 1941 - to the post of chief of the operational division of the headquarters of the 238th rifle division .

Great Patriotic War

During the Great Patriotic War in October 1941, Danilovsky was appointed to the post of chief of staff of the 387th rifle division of the Central Asian Military District. In December, the division was sent to the front in the army, and as part of the Western and Bryansk fronts took part in the battle of Moscow .

In July 1942, he was appointed deputy commander of the 387th rifle division, but was dismissed from his post and in August he was appointed acting chief of staff of the logistics department of the 61st army . In September 1943 he was appointed commander of the 197th rifle division , which participated in the Bryansk offensive operation and the liberation of Bryansk . For the exemplary performance of the tasks of command in these battles, the division received the honorary title "Bryansk". Subsequently, the division took part in the Gomel-Rechitsa and Lvov-Sandomir offensive operations .

September 30, 1944 Danilovsky was appointed commander of the 120th Rifle Corps , which successfully acted during the Sandomierz-Silesian and Lower Silesian offensive operations . From February 1945 he commanded the 197th Infantry Division , which participated in the Berlin and Prague offensive operations . For differences in battles, the division was awarded the Order of Kutuzov of the 2nd degree, and the commander Fedor Semenovich Danilovsky was awarded the Order of the Red Banner . From March 10 to April 3, 1945, Major General Danilovsky temporarily served as commander of the 21st rifle corps , which was defending in the area of ​​the city of Guben and the Neisse River.

Post War Career

From August 1945 he commanded the 80th and 112th Guards Rifle Divisions . In July 1946, the 112th Guards Rifle Division was transformed into the 12th Separate Guards Rifle Brigade , and Fyodor Semenovich Danilovsky was appointed its commander.

From July to October 1948, he studied at the Higher Academic Courses at the Higher Military Academy named after KE Voroshilov , and then studied at the main faculty of this academy. After graduating from the Academy in February 1950, he was the acting head of the 1st department, he was also the deputy head of the statutory directorate of the Main Military Scientific Directorate of the General Staff of the USSR Armed Forces . In June 1953, he was appointed to the post of deputy head of the 3rd department, he is also the head of the same department, in April 1955 - to the position of deputy head of the charter department.

In April 1957, Danilovsky was seconded to the Military Academy named after MV Frunze for use in teaching work, and in June 1958 he was appointed to the post of senior lecturer in the operational-tactical training department.

In February 1959, Major General Fedor Semenovich Danilovsky retired. Died November 18, 1978 in Moscow .
