Tumutuk ( Tat. Tymytyk ) is a village in the Aznakaevsky district of Tatarstan , the administrative center of the Tumutuk rural settlement .

The largest rural community of the district. In the early 1930s - the administrative center of the district.
History
Tumutukovo was a settlement of the Bashkirs of the Jurmi volost.
In 1834, 99 souls of male Bashkirs, 87 souls of teppers were counted in the village, and in 1859 - 164 souls of Bashkirs, 140 souls of teppers, 164 souls of state peasants, 53 souls of male Bashkirs.
The population exceeded 2.7 thousand people at the beginning of the XX century.
Until 1920, it was part of the Bugulma district of the Samara province , since 1920 it was part of the Bugulma canton of the TatASSR .
It was the administrative center of the district (at that time the district was called Tumutuksky ) from the day it was formed on August 10, 1930 and until October 20, 1931 , when the district center was moved to s. Aznakaevo , as a result of which the district was renamed Aznakaevsky .
In the period from February 10, 1935 to July 15, 1958, the village was located in the newly formed Tumutuk district as a district center. After the abolition of the district, the village became part of the Aznakaevsky district.
From February 1, 1963 to January 11, 1965, the village was part of the Almetyevsk district (Aznakaevsky district was abolished as a result of the reform to enlarge the districts and later restored).
Location
The village is located near the border with Bashkortostan , next to the Ik River. In the village there is a mosque, a school, the administration of a rural settlement, a small hospital. Coordinates 55 Β° 1'0 "N 53 Β° 18'3" E
Population
The population of the village is 1472 people. (2010). Most of the population are pensioners.
Economics
Most of the population is engaged in agriculture. Most of the young people leave the village, many find work in the administrative center of Aznakaevo and daily go there to work by regular bus.
Religion
The bulk of the inhabitants are Muslims. In the village there is a mosque built on donations from parishioners and the village council. After the advent of Soviet power, religious life ceased, religion was not held in high esteem. After perestroika, thanks to village activists and the help of the village administration, the religious movement began to revive. The new imam of the mosque was Yavat Yamilov , who put a lot of effort into reviving the mosque in the village.
