Kurt is an experimental [1] short film directed by Adarshi Benjamin, which premiered on December 6, 2012 at the Art Basel art exhibition in Miami [1] [2] . The painting is "an abstract depiction of the myth and personality of the late Kurt Cobain " [1] . According to the director, the version shown in Miami is not final [3] .

Filming
The film was shot on a 16 mm color film [2] [4] . The shooting took place in Seattle , Brooklyn , Los Angeles , Olympia and Aberdeen [3] . Some scenes were filmed at Shea Stadium in New York City , including the actors performing Cobain's Sliver [4] , and the breaking of an electric organ by the character of Henry Hopper [5] .
