Biography
Born in Taganrog , in the family of a fisherman [1] .
Before the war, she worked as a designer at the Taganrog Aviation Plant No. 31 named after Dimitrova [2] .
She was part of the Taganrog underground group, led by her brother, Pyotr Turubarov [2] . Distributed leaflets, collected weapons, supplied the underground with bottles of combustible mixture for the destruction of military equipment [2] .
In 1965, she was posthumously awarded the Order of the Red Star [2] .
Memory
- In honor of the heroically dead underground activists Valentina, Petr and Raisa Turubarovs, the Turubarovs Street, located between Moskatov Street and Sredny Lane, was named in Taganrog [1] .
- In 1973, in Taganrog, in memory of the exploit of young underground workers in Spartakovsky Lane , opposite the Chekhov Gymnasium , the monument “The Oath of Youth” (sculpture by Vladimir and Valentina Gracheva ) was unveiled [3] [4] .
