Until 1915, the newspaper was published once a week, after - twice a week. The publisher is the Azamat (Citizen) Partnership. At the head of those who helped the newspaper financially was Mustafa Shokai . A total of 265 issues of this newspaper were issued. The newspaper used the image of a yurt as a symbol - one of the symbols of the Kazakh people . The trunk of this yurt was opened on the western side, and قازاق ( Kazakh. ҚазаҚ ) was written on the doors. According to representatives of the Kazakh intelligentsia, this meant the desire that “European science and art would spread among Kazakhs; so that the Kazakh newspaper becomes a window into the culture of the Kazakh people, and, at the same time, a guardian (from harm) of strangers. ”

The organizer of the publication and the editor of the newspaper was Akhmet Baitursynov , and his authorized representative was Mirzhakip Dulatov .

The newspaper published articles such eminent Kazakh public figures like Ahmet Baitursynov , Alikhan Bukeikhanov , Mirzhakip Dulatov , Mustafa Shokai , Shakarim Kudaiberdiev , Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpaev , Gumar Karash , Rayymzhan Marsack , Zhumagali Tleulin , Gabdolgaziz Musagaliev , mağjan jumabayev , Kayretdin Bolganbaev , Halel Gabbassov , Zhakyp Akpaev , Zhansha Seydalin , Sultanmakhmut Toraigyrov , Akhmet Mametov , Sabit Donentaev , Halel Dosmukhamedov and others.

On the pages of the newspaper were published including translations into the Kazakh language of the works of Russian writers: L. N. Tolstoy , A. P. Chekhov , M. Yu. Lermontov , V. G. Korolenko , I. A. Krylova .
